Newport News Hospitality Mission Statement

The Newport News Hospitality Association seeks to promote interaction between our tourism office, city hotels, restaurants, attractions and their vendors and member associations thru the following objectives:

To educate city/state officials on the importance of tourism to Newport News.

Tourism

To promote and educate our members and the community at large on the positive impact tourism has on our local economy.

Economy

To provide a value to every Hotel, Restaurant, Attraction and their Vendors/Associations to be a member of the Newport News Hospitality Association.

Value

To help members develop and maintain their knowledge, skills and abilities about their industry.

Skills

To provide an interface between City of Newport News and Commonwealth of Virginia government entities and our members regarding legislation that impacts our industry.

Impact

To maintain a viable relationship between local high schools and universities and the industry by promoting a scholarship program for local students going in the hospitality industry.
